The New York Times launched its paywall sharing feature. I have been a paying subscriber of The New York Times even before I took writing seriously.

There is a price to pay to be informed. We all know what happened to the print industry. The Internet left it “almost dead,” and while then most of us would get anything for free, the onslaught of fake news not only threatened our democracy, it has led to our slow descent to the rabbit hole of a misinformed society.
